The Interview

At the Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photo shoot she was wearing a pale-yellow, vaguely peasant-y T-shirt blouse, a pair of expensive-looking jeans, and chipped black nail polish.

Miley Cyrus has been acting professionally since the age of eight, when she talked her way into a recurring part on Doc, an earlier show of her father’s.

Yet her appeal in the Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photos and as Hannah Montana, and as Hannah’s alter ego on the show, Miley Stewart, is that she presents as a grounded, relatively normal kid. Miley Cyrus projects that unaffectedness in real life as well. She also seems to have very clear ideas about things. In fact, her focus and self-possession can be a bit scary. Are 15-year-olds supposed to feel comfortable in their own skin?

A Vanity Affair

The Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photos accompany an interview with the 15-year-old pop star and her father, singer Billy Ray Cyrus. They include shots of the teen wrapped in what appears to be a satin bedsheet, looking over her shoulder with her back exposed.

The Disney Channel, which airs Cyrus' TV show ''Hannah Montana,'' was also critical of Vanity Fair.

''Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines,'' a network statement said.

Regarding the Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photos a phone call was not immediately returned Sunday night. But in a statement to the TV show ''Entertainment Tonight,'' Vanity Fair defended its position.

Leading a double life as a glammed-up rocker on the Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus is no stranger to hair and makeup. Here, she entrusts her locks to hairstylist Christiaan.

Photos with Billy Ray

Featured Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photos are said to be embarrassing for the teen pop sensation. Although it is unclear if the Hannah Montana star is blushing from all the Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photos...

At age 15,
Miley Cyrus already has everything she needs to make it, a big hit show (Hannah Montana), two multi-platinum albums, and a level head compared to a Lindsay Lohan, or Britney Spears style meltdown.

Between sold-out concerts, multi-platinum records, and a hit TV series, Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus has some serious business riding on her shoulders, not to mention paparazzi on her tail and tabloid editors praying for her to pull a Britney Spears. So how’d she get so (relatively) normal? Does daddy Billy Ray Cyrus help keep the teen grounded?

vs Risky MySpace Pics

In January, the pop teen idol Miley Cyrus raised eyebrows when racy photos of her leaked on the Internet. When comparing the Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photo's to the MySpace ones, definitely the Myspace pics are too sexy or suggestive. Miley's ''Best of Both Worlds'' tour sold out arenas, and her successful 3-D concert film collected $31.3 million in its opening weekend in February.

Reportedly, Miley Cyrus is one of the most popular entertainers in the US and is often considered a role model for young girls. So it is no surprise that the Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair issue would become popular after their release. Especially when it has been reported that the Hannah Montana actress was embarressed by the photos.

With new news about Miley's embarrassing Vanity Fair photo shoot, which appear to be G rated vs. her racy MySpace photos.... A handful of borderline racy snapshots of a girl who appeared to be
Miley Cyrus have appeared on the Internet in recent months, including images of a girl posing in her underwear and bikini last week.

AOL reported more racy pics of 15-year-old teen have surfaced, this time of her flashing her bra, lying in a guy's lap, and baring her midriff. The seductive shots were supposedly hacked from her private MySpace page.

Where is daddy Cyrus?

Are they embarrassing?

''I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be artistic and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,'' Miley Cyrus said Sunday in a statement through her publicist.

''I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.''

Miley Cyrus is taking issue with a photo of herself that's going around, and it's not another amateur, truth-or-dare Internet snapshot -- it's the handiwork of Annie Leibovitz. The photos, appearing in the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair, were taken by Leibovitz, a renowned celebrity photographer whose edgy, silver-toned portraits have included subjects such as Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson and a naked, pregnant Demi Moore.
